Thrive in cool weather in loose, friable, well drained soil rich in organic matter. The best radishes are those that grow fast; they usually are milder, crispier and not pithy. Radishes show partially above ground, making them easy to harvest. For best eating use young radishes. Approximately 3125 seeds per ounce or 100 to 110 seeds per gram.
