White mustard is a cover crop with outstanding nematode suppression. Braco both interferes with completion of the feeding nematode larvaes life cycle and acts as a naturally occurring biofumigant when turned into the soil just before flowering. This is a natural organic approach to nematode control and is also less expensive than chemical applications.
This high protein forage crop has hight nitrogen content and increases soil tilth. Braco is a useful winter cover crop in home gardens, crop rotations and vineyards.
Sow and allow to grow 45 to 60 days, the approximate time before flowering, then flail or mow and turn into soil as a green manure 2 to 3 weeks before planting crops.
Sow Braco at rates of 6 to 8 oz per 1,000 sq feeto and 15 to 20 lbs per acre.
