Anthriscus cerefolium. Annual. 12".

A fine curly leaved variety of chervil. Use Chervil leaves in French cuisine, egg dishes, fish and sauces. Leaves are used like parsley. Makes best crop in spring and fall. Shade tolerant.

Planting Directions: Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before planting out, in peat or newsprint pots. Outdoors sow seed as soon as ground can be worked in the spring.  Provide a well tilled area , sow seed 1/8” to ¼” , cover lightly with sifted soil.   Requires light and temperatures of 50°-60°F to germinate in 14 days. Thin when seedlings are 2” high to 6-8” apart.  If  transplanting do not disturb roots. Water regularly during dry spells.

Remarks:  For winter use, gather on a dry day when flowers on plants are fully opened.  Place leaf sprays in a cool circulation.  When dry, remove leaves from stems and seal in air tight jars.
