This is awesome corn. Amazing results every year! No less than 2 huge ears on each stalk. Holds well on the stalk for at least 2 weeks when ready to harvest. I have frozen it on the cob after blanching and it is nearly like fresh corn on the cob. But takes up too much room in freezer. So my favorite way is to blanch on the cob, cut off kernals and freeze in freezer bags, 4 cobs per quart bag. That will feed 2-4 people easily. I discovered that for a family of 2, planting 100 seeds will make enough frozen corn to last nearly to the next season! So I plant 140-150 so we can have fresh corn on the cob and give some to friends and family for 2 weeks during harvest. It does like water, so I water at least 2x's a week, 3 x's during super hot weather. Never had a crop failure yet.

We have planted this corn for the last 4 years. It has an excellent flavor and stays tender for a long time. Be careful - I always overplant and always have too many ears - sort of like zuchinni. I rarely need to replant as the seeds germinate just fine. Planting pole beans between the plants help to keep enough Nitrogen in the soil to feed the corn. We only plant this corn - and we love it!!! Also, ears fill out nicely when watered regularly.
