Anise Hyssop has lavender blue flowers, blooms freely throughout the summer. Also known as licorice mint. The leaves of Anise Hyssop make a delicious herbal tea. Leaves have a pleasant licorice or anise flavor. Bees are attracted to this plant all summer. Flowers are edible.                                                     

Planting Directions:  Sow seed indoors 6 to 8 weeks before planting in the garden. Barely cover seed with sterile seed starting mix keeping soil temperature of 70˚ to 75˚. Pinch plants back to encourage branching when 4 to 6” tall. Transplant outdoors after last frost in a sunny location or in light shade. Plant in soil enriched with compost or a good general garden fertilizer. Fertilize every spring. Seed may be broadcast outdoors in early fall, just barely cover seed. Plant in good soil and fertilize in spring after last frost when seedlings are at least 2” to 3” tall.
