Nichols Garden Nursery

Nichols Garden Nursery is an enthusiastic supporter of "Plant A Row For the Hungry", sponsored by the Garden Writers Association. Approximately 25 million people, including 9.9 million children have substandard diets or must resort to seeking emergency food because they cannot always afford the food they need. Some of this problem can be alleviated if surplus garden produce is collected and donated to food banks, shelters and soup kitchens. In 2003 with our own state of Oregon leading the nation in percentage of population experiencing hunger and our neighboring state Washington second, it seems the problem is right in our own back yard and so is part of the solution. Nichols Garden Nursery is an official dropoff site for Linn-Benton Food Share our local food bank. If you would like to leave your surplus produce with us we will see that it gets to our local distribution center.
