Or direct sow seed outdoors 2 weeks before last frost. Plant in well prepared soil in a sunny location with good drainage. Will tolerate a variety of soil types, but does best in well drained soil. Broadcast the seeds on soil surface. Germination usually takes 5-21 days with light and temperatures of 70°-75°.  Feed annually with a general garden fertilizer or top dress with compost.
