Angelica forms a basal clump of large three-sectioned leaves by the second year it reaches 2 to 3 feet. A striking plant in the early spring white umbel blooms in summer. Candy the stems for decorating desserts. Our most frequented larval host plant for the Anise Swallowtail. Native to temperate and subarctic regions on the northern hemisphere.

Planting Directions: Plant outdoors after all danger of frost has past in a sunny location in soil that has been worked thoroughly. Sow seed 1/2" deep, thinning plants to stand 18-24" apart. Seed can also be planted in early fall outdoors. Thin seedlings to 24" in spring. Plant in full sun. Seeds ripen the second year of growth.
